IBHNet:Operation in a local area network

If the programming software and the IBHsoftec S7-SoftPLC version >3.x are used on different PCs in the same local area network, the IBHNet driver needs only to be installed on the PC with the programming software. If the IBH Link communication adaptor is used, it is also sufficient to install the driver on the PU with the programming software.


In order to set up a connection to the PLC in the driver settings, the IP address of the PC with the S7-SoftPLC, respectively the IP address of the connected IBH Link needs to be known to the user.


If the IBHNet driver is used with the IBHsoftec S7-SoftPLC V2.x on different PCs in a local network, IBHNet must be installed on both PCs.


Is the IBHNet driver used with the S7-CX or S7-PCI PLCs, IBHNet must be installed on the PC with the programming software.
