The S7 for Windows® programming system and the S7-PCI315 PLC may be installed on the same PC or on two separate PCs, or the S7-PCI315 PLC can be installed in a seperate case with voltage supply. Also the programming system can be installed on a PC.
The following system overview shows, which additional components besides the S7 for Windows® programming system and the S7-PCI315 PLC, need to be installed on which PC. It also shows, how these communicate together and which components need to be installed on which PC.
