IBH OPC UA
The IBH OPC UA Server/Client is a 64-bit software solution for Windows and Linux PCs. It connects controllers and devices to OPC UA, provides an integrated OPC UA Client and is administered through a Web Configurator.
The software variants for Windows, Linux PCs, IOT2050 and RevPi use the product name IBH OPC UA. The dedicated hardware products continue to use the established name IBH Link UA.
Core functions
Optimized data blocks for S7-1200 and S7-1500
The enhanced S7CommPlus driver directly accesses optimized data blocks of current SIMATIC S7-1200 and S7-1500 controllers. Read and write operations, sampling and subscriptions are designed for high performance, balanced load and stable continuous operation.
Python, NodeSets, methods and data models
Python 3 can be used to integrate custom scripts, variables, OPC UA methods and information models. On Windows, Python runs in a separate host process.
XML NodeSets and data models are also loaded without Python. Types, variables, methods and references remain visible; only Python callbacks are not executed. Python methods return BadNotSupported in this case. The Nodeset menu remains visible and clearly indicates that Python is not installed.
OPC Classic on Windows
The optional OPC Classic Gateway exposes the OPC UA address space as OPC Data Access 2.0/3.0. Both 32-bit and 64-bit OPC Classic clients can access the native 64-bit server. Remote DCOM can be enabled as a separate setup option when required.
Security and certificates
OPC UA security policies, signed and encrypted connections and central GDS integration support secure operation. GDS functions include application registration, certificate renewal and Trust List management.
