The battery is of type CR2032.

Using the Battery is optional. The PLC program is saved in the flash memory when a boot application has been created and needs no battery buffering.

The battery is used for buffering

  • the time
  • retain data

A fully charged battery has a life time of 1 year.

RECOMMENDATION: CHANGE THE BATTERY EVERY 12 MONTHS.
