The CP functionality of S7-SoftPLC supports the ASCII-Protocol

Operating mode

At the start of S7-SoftSPS a configuration for the CP340/CP440 emulation is searched. The selected blocks for the communication appear in the block list of the PLC.

Differences to hardware-PLC

  • The ASCII-Protocol is supported only
  • FBs 9 and 10 are implemented only
  • on end criterion endsign the endsigns are appended automatically
  • for flow control only the options none, RTS/CTS and XON/XOFF are available
