If the S7-SoftPLC is started as service and uses the TwinCAT-IO-driver, it may happen that the S7-SoftPLC is loaded prior to TwinCAT-IO and therefore can't use the IO-driver. The PLC stops and must be restarted manual.

To prevent this, the service must have a dependency on TwinCAT-IO.

Therefore open the regedit and add the value <code>&quot;TwinCAT System Service&quot;</code> to the key <code>&quot;DependOnService&quot;</code> located at

<code>HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\CPUS7</code>

The service will now be started, after the service &quot;TwinCAT System Service&quot; is running.
